SENIDEV launched a special PROGRAMME title ( *NATURE ACTIVE)*

The *NATURE ACTIVE PROGRAMME(NAP* ) is an integrated conservation program which was initiated and launched by SENIDEV volunteers in 2021. The primary objective of the program is to mobilize and engage local communities for effective conservation and protection of biodiversity through sensitization, education, advocacy and the creation of community led structures.
NATURE ACTIVE PROGRAMME is an integrated biodiversity conservation, climate change action and sustainable livelihoods oriented nonprofit initiative which started as a project of the SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR INCLUSIVED DEVELOPMENT in 2021. As an independent nonprofit institution since 2021, NATURE ACTIVE seeks to harness the power of indigenous people, women, youths and children within cities, and rural communities in advancing the following core objectives;
⦁ Increase the engagement of people and communities in the promotion of sustainable lifestyles
⦁ Promote indigenous knowledge and practices that contribute positively in protecting and preserving biodiversity and in achieving climate resilient communities
⦁ Reduce extreme negative human practices on the natural environment with focus on the protection and conservation of rainforests and endangered wildlife species
⦁ Mobilize and engage people and communities to reduce vulnerability to climate variability and change through cost effective and community driven interventions
The program specifically runs projects such as;

 To empower marginalized communities with lasting and sustainable regenerative activities and technology in renewable energy and ICT free of charge
 Empower marginalized community in the rain forest communities with basis organic and modern farm practices free of charge
 This center would train, equip and provide them with solar training skills, wind energy training and biomass skill free of charge
 Carryout energy transition practices and energy efficiency practices with the local technicians trained by SENIDEV TECHNICAL STAFFS
 Training the forest community on climate change and environmentally friendly practices
 Train the forest community on the need for reforestation and afforestation, part of our current project to plant 50,000 trees in 6 African countries
 Integrated Biodiversity Conservation education
 Creation of community forestry and wildlife conservation groups around National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries
 Conducting research on the balance between conservation and sustainable livelihoods
 Training of Hunters, illegal and indiscriminate biodiversity exploiters on alternative sources of income generation
 Educating indigenous forest community members on the provisions of the 1994 Forestry and wildlife laws and other international regulations
 Climate change education and adaptation
